considering the dvd and even bluray of this is pretty horrendous I question the Highest Quality assertion.

Can anyone tells me:is it normal that upload speed much higher than download ? (Download-100-200 kb/s, upload 900-2000 kb/s).

My internet is pretty shit and I'm only uploading at 1.5 mb/s, I'm doing the best I can at the moment

So, I'm confused. At one point someone said that they lost the files and would create a new set, but never did and people are still trying to download off of this. Is this torrent still good? or will it never finish? Currently stalled at 19.8% with 20.3% shown as available (not sure if relevant, but I have an upload ratio of 6.8, so I'm reseeding what little I have).

The torrent is still good.... However I cannot seed 24/7 What happened was as I was copying over the files to my seed folder, they somehow deleted themselves. Then I had to copy over the same files from a backup hard disk.

I'm trying to collect key 'classic anime' on Blu-Ray and will totally buy Eva if it ever gets a new North American release but till then, thanks. :) Seriously, how do we live in a 2018 where Evangelion can't be streamed and the North America discs are out of print? Heyo, just trying to get an idea here, what gives this a leg up over the other releases? From what ive seen the japanese bluray is the best. Is this just a visually untouched remux of it?

It has recently come to my attention that this torrent is essentially a pile of shit and that's mainly my fault. I am sorry to whoever downloaded it expecting the perfect Evangelion exerience. However, I am currently working on a second torrent to fix most if not all of the problems with this batch. I can't work on it 24/7 however when I can I will try to make as much progress as possible. Keep in mind I'm not expert; just someone who really likes Evangelion and wants to spread the highest quality avaliable to the public in one complete batch. So sometime within the next month or so (I will try to get it done within 2 weeks (hopefully)) it will be complete and uploaded. This includes (but not limited to): fixing the subtitles (episode 17 especially), keeping the file sizes down by using flac audio from another torrent (#886718), and many other things. One thing that will be missing is the extras as my hard drive that contained the bdmv's broke so unless anyone really wants them I can add them back in but for now I'll leave them out. This includes (but not limited to): anamatics of episodes, clean openings and all that jazz. TL;DR Don't download this one, a better one's coming soon. Sorry for any inconvenience

A quick update for the two of you that actually care; Episodes 1-14 have been muxed and after the full series is done, I will have to do final checks. So far I am averaging about 2-episodes a day, so not long now. End Of Evangelion needs to be done as well as Death (True)^2 (there will be NO English audio for Death (True)^2). I have also decided to put Death and Rebirth in the torrent as well so the collection will be fully complete (at least as far as official movies and the such). Everything is coming along quite smoothly and I would say about a weeks worth of consistent work and it should be done. The subs for the series (especially sephirotic's) are a bit inconsistent with the opening title and end cards, so they have been each individually fixed and made more consistent. The signs have been completely redone for some episodes, so it looks nicer. Each file is averaging about 6.7gb/episode so it should be smaller than this one (no exact amount yet). The audio has gone from pcm to flac with some noise removal to make it as sounds as good as possible. There's not much else to say other than I will keep going and hopefully in the near future I will be able to share it with you; the highest quality Evangelion avaliable to the general public. I actually started working on a project like this myself but had to give up on it and was just considering starting again when I came across this torrent. I'd like to vote for inclusion of the extras, and would REALLY prefer if the audio was left untouched as afaik most surround sound receivers don't support FLAC bitstreaming. (at least mine doesn't...) Finally, my main issue and the reason I gave up originally: is it at all possible to include the original DVD stereo jap/eng dubs? I ask specifically because I cannot stand how they added the tin-can sound effect to scenes inside of the eva plugs in the platinum edition DVD. P.S. would it be possible for you to post the source(s) you're using for the remuxes, whether you're ripping BDs yourself or taking them from other torrents. Thanks for all your work. If there's anything I can do to assist please let me know. I have gigabit internet and will seed this until the sun burns out once I'm happy with it. edit: I have 5.1 FLAC versions of the 22 BD audio tracks if you want them, I don't see any point in keeping the video data for those.

This will take a bit of extra time so I will try and keep everyone updated. In regards to the original eng/jap stero DVD audio I will need some sort of exact source. They have remastered evangelion at least 4 times so an exact source would really help. Also I am no wizard, jsut someone puttung things together. I can try my best to sync them and make it sound nice. Thanks for bringing the flac compatibility to my attention, I will have to test it myself and see if it works. I could possibly upload an episode just to see the reaction it gets from people and if it is all to everyones liking. The upside of having flac is that the file size is just about half. Apart from that, if it pleases the court, I could remux with the original pcm audio, 5.1. Personally I see no problem with the audio, but to each his own. Thank you for being the only person who actually offered to help and I hope we can work together to get it out faster. Also the gigabit internet will help immensley. The fact that someone actually wants to help is amazing. EDIT: For the subs I am using my own modified version of the Sephirotic and 2D4U for episodes 1-26 and 21'-24'. For eoe, death & rebirth, death (true)^2, I am using Sephirotics subs with minimal editing (I just removed references from the honorific versions). There are also the out of sync and probably the subs no one will use; the digitally re-created VHS subs from someone (I forgort their name).

I'm not crazy about discord due to their terms of service, but you can find me at Tab#5039 I actually have a torrent of 8 iso files, which appear to be the "Perfect" DVDs that came out before the "Platinum Collection". They have stereo AC3 audio for japanese, english, spanish, and french, but I've just realized it does not include the extended length versions of episodes 21-24. I'm honestly not sure how much I care about including it, because the bluray 5.1 mix is absolutely superior EXCEPT for my nitpicking over the tin-can sound effect, mostly I just like it because it's what I grew up watching. I believe the Evangelion: Resurrection and Genesis Reborn DVDs contain the non-tin-can sound mixes, I'll have to try and track down an iso (or frankly order it off amazon and rip it myself). If I can find mixes for the director's cut episodes I think I'd like to include them if just for my own nostalgia, but if I can't then I don't think it would be worth it, as switching audio mixes for the last 6 episodes would be awkward. Personally I don't really care about file size. Lastly I noticed this torrent above does not include chapters in the MKV files, I'd like to include them too. I believe I can export the ones from the DVDs, and creating originals where we can't get them isn't difficult. Man I really wish I hadn't sold all my DVDs a decade ago, I personally owned the original perfect collection, plus director's cut versions, EoE and Death and Rebirth. I walked for literally two hours after school to best buy to get the director's cut DVDs the day I found out they existed.

I just prefer discord as it is reliable (in my epxperience). Either way my account is High-Roller™#2228 As for the chapters, and many other problems, should be fixed in the new torrent. The Perfect DVDs would help a bit as I do believe they contain the original 2.0 stero mix for the english and japanse dub. I do have my own personal platinum DVDs if that could help with anthing. As for the extended episodes 21-24, the extreme option is to downmix the 5.1 into 2.0 and see if that makes any differenec (though I highly doubt it will).

Will the VHS subs be in sync? Wouldn't mind rewatching the series with those subs but given that theres alterations to the AV presentation of later releases, that could make it difficult.

There's some channel imbalance in the Japanese audio in this release (except for the Rebuild films). The audio seems louder in the left channel than the right, which makes it really annoying to watch. Actually, it seems like the left channel is set to front speaker setup and right channels are set to back speaker setup, or something weird like that because even trying to play around with the left right channel balance doesn't fix it as some voices are exclusively in the left channel with nothing but sound effects on the right channel for some voice over lines. Really strange.
