how can a non-canon movie get retconned? basically this just takes place during a period of time that’s not shown in the anime or manga.

it was created by the author of the manga, and he obviously wrote the part that was adapted into season 3 long before 2015. also, there are some scenes in this movie that are exactly the same as scenes from the beginning of season 3.

Some scenes are the same, but some events and character developments are retconned by the series
