Well, here it is. Initial D First Stage in all its Bluray glory... sorta. It's just a cheap upscale, but hey, at least it's a high quality rendition of the first season. And if you don't want to spend all that extra money on the discs themselves, you can just download it here. Contents: -Video Footage: Comes from Initial D Premium Bluray Pit 1 directly. Yes, I have a copy of the discs. -English Subtitles: All thanks to https://nyaa.iss.one/view/907156, but with minor tweakings (Mainly because one line in episodes 8 and 11 from the bluray discs had a line or two that was severely delayed. To make them more logically placed, audio samples from the link's said episodes somewhat fix this issue.) The track with the dialogue translating and stuff is the default track, but there's also a track which just translates the signs and songs. -Japanese 5.1 audio (default track): Comes from the discs mostly (however... many times, when the eyecatch plays, an engine revving sound will be heard when the show's logo flashes. Most of the episodes replace the revving eyecatch sounds with the eyecatch sounds coming from the link.) -English 5.1 audio (secondary track): I figured, "Sure, why not make this torrent somewhat enticing for the fans, rather than make this a sub-only release?" These tracks have been edited to include the Japanese narration for the eyecatches (as a lot of us like the JP narration more, anyway. Correct me if I'm wrong.) Also courtesy of https://nyaa.iss.one/view/907156. -And keep in mind that this is the only release that includes romaji lyrics for the M.O.V.E. songs in the episodes. No translation for those songs (except the OPs and EDs) are available yet, so romaji's better than no lyrics at all. However, if somebody'd translate the lyrics, that'd be wonderful. This'll probably be the biggest part that'll make this torrent stand out from other First Stage torrents. In the end... it's your choice if you wanna download this. I mean, the footage is just an upscaling, so whether or not this is worth the download is up to the viewer. Any complaints or comments you'd like to share? Just let your thoughts run wild in the comments section. All credit goes to their original release creators.

I truly thank you and for your hard work. It means a lot. Will you be doing the other season and movies, etc?
Well, for this, I'm thinking of making a faster torrent than this (a better seeding job before posting and all). And yes, I'm ambitious to do the other Stages and Movies when applicable. (Not Fifth or Final Stages; BD rips already exist, and with softsubs, too).
That was my biggest mistake when uploading this torrent. I'm making a new one to hopefully rectify this.
So, just seed it?
I feel this upload is lower quality than the Remux one despite being a larger file. This upload has 8 bit quality instead 10 bit quality that Remux has. I see interlaced lines in this upload and there is some strange color distortations. I think the reason the file for this upload is bigger than the Remux one is because this video renders the black leatherbox around the image. This isn't necessary and makes the file larger for actually no gain. Sound quality in this video is lower than in the Remux upload. Thank you for uploading, but can these issues be addressed? The Remux upload is in 1080p too and for some the quality is better quality than this upload.
Are you the one who uploaded the Remux of first stage? Better is if you do a remux of second to final stage.
I'm not the one who did the Remux, actually. The one who uploaded this was me. And yes, I intend on doing Second Stage, after I finish First Stage properly, with more seeders than leechers, as well as addressing the issues pointed out by 26jesse. As well as inserting the Funimation dub as an English track, to really spice the set up (sorta).
Idk, I feel like because it's an upscale and not a proper 1080p version, it seems like the image instead of being more clear it's a bit blurrier: ORIG INAL: ![alt text](https://i.cubeupload.com/RMzvOD.png) ![alt text](https://i.cubeupload.com/UeNGCm.png) ![alt text](https://i.cubeupload.com/z8uIzp.png) THIS TORRENT: ![alt text](https://i.cubeupload.com/cnQjbh.png) ![alt text](https://i.cubeupload.com/KEnd7l.png) ![alt text](https://i.cubeupload.com/qIpI09.png)
fujito 10 My advice to you is as real hardcore anime fan make the audio default Japanese not English! Also default english subtitle so we do not need to bother going to the setting of the audio of our software player. Waiting for your 2nd 3rd 4th 5th and final stage BD 1080p FLAC 7.1 releases! I promise once you do these in this format I will create a torrent and seed!
I thought I did? Said so in the description: -Japanese 5.1 audio (default track): Comes from the discs mostly (however… many times, when the eyecatch plays, an engine revving sound will be heard when the show’s logo flashes. Most of the episodes replace the revving eyecatch sounds with the eyecatch sounds coming from the link.) And yes, I DID make the English subtitles the default sub track. And about the audio track: I'll see what I can do about those. No promises in terms of audio, but I WILL likely do the other stages.
If I can get the JP audio in .flac, then that'll be great.
The Blu-Rays for the first 2 stages were complete garbage. It was neither a remaster or anything with any real effort put into scaling it. They used way too much DNR (Digital Noise Reduction) and smeared the crap out of it during the upscale to where its just god awful. Entire lines and details were completely removed/destroyed in the process. I could scale the DVD's and make it look much better than those Blu-Ray releases from Japan because the detail would still be there and it wouldn't look like smeared paint. It would still be an upscale, but it would be a much better looking one than was released on the Blu-Rays.
New version here! https://nyaa.iss.one/view/1086029 Go for that instead of this.
The above link is now dead. Go here: https://nyaa.iss.one/view/1088573
The audio is in stereo. Not 5.1. Both the Japanese and English tracks.
Please reseed! As far as I know, this is the only Bluray REMUX of this series. I can't stand the stutters of encodes (this is especially obvious on fast scenes, for example, on 1st Stage, Episode 1, 21:57 - 21:59 timestamp, the trees above the 86 are a stuttery mess, but remuxes do not have this) Although I agree that there is some detail, no, a LOT of detail lost in the Bluray of 1st stage (have yet to test others) --- and it’s a blurry mess. So there's a compromise. Would have loved to have the best of both worlds!
You need to encode this, it has a lot of issues.
